Blue Ice is a chain with places all over Rome. Commercial quality gelato. Much better if you are nearby is Fior di Luna on via della Lugaretta, 96 just off Piazza S. Maria in Trastevree. Uses only natural ingredients, in season (www.fiordiluna.com) Or in the Largo Argentia try Corona on via Largo Arenula, 27 next to the bank by where the tram starts and stops. Elsewhere, look for signs that say Gelateria Artigianala when you want really good homemade gelato or sorbet. These two places are fantastic. You can really taste the difference.

We spent half a day tromping around Rome and hit 6 spots.. My favorite was the geateria on del gracchi... I thought it was super.
