Has anybody stayed at these properties? Bauer, De La Ville & Capo D Africa?

The Bauer in Venice, De La Ville in Florence and the Capo D Africa in Rome. These are already booked, I have checked them out on Trip Advisor but would welcome any feedback from those of you who have personally stayed there.

I have a real fondness for the Bauer. I have stayed there twice. It isn't cheap. We get a suite overlooking the Campo Moise in the new section of the hotel. We can watch the city come to life from our balcony. It over looks the campo and the canal that runs along it. Early each day the boats come up the canal and deliver goods. Suppliers hump over the bridge with their unique carts. It is always fun to watch. The Bauer is very close to San Marco and very convenient. Only a block to Harry's Bar! If you stay here and have breakfast you can have breakfast in two locations. One on the main floor out by the Grand Canal. You can also go up to the roof top and have a great view with your breakfast. I recommend the Bauer.

I, too, like the Bauer. Breakfast on the rooftop with a view of the Canal and the Duomo across the canal is just fantastic. And aperitivo overlooking the Grand Canal and the side canal is magical.

The Capo D'Africa is a wonderful hotel. It's near the colosseum and close to public transportation. Donna
