Has anybody been to Museo Galileo in Firenze?

Is it worth going to?

Yes, it's worth going to and has a truly awesome collection of instruments and documents, although not much description in English, so you'll probably want the audioguide.

We thought everything about it was absolutely fascinating. The instruments are works of art in some respects. We didn't have an audio guide but still were able to figure everything out.

Third yes vote! It is a terrific museum and a nice change from other museums you may have on your itinerary.

Our family liked it. The medical instrument and anatomy floor was a little graphic. My kids were on a mission to see Galileo's finger.

My husband is a Science guy and he loved it!

Yup, same here. It's a quite interesting place if you're into science and technology. It's also uncrowded, at least compared to the Ufizi.

Yes we were there last month and kids age 9 and 11 found it cool. We were here the summer before and wanted to see the lesser known museums. We also liked the DaVinci museum as well. There were hands on things you could look at and do. Have a great trip!
