Happy Holidays to you all! and... Thank you!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who helped me plan my trip 3 months ago.

Thank you so much for all your help with my northern Italy trip! My mom & I had a wonderful time!

I also want to let you know that I've changed my profile & have decided to use my real name instead of the
name I chose when I first signed up to this forum...
When I signed up, I couldn't think of a name & there was a Macy's coupon on my desk & decided to pick, "Macy" ( silly me!)

I've since realized that I don't even know anyone with that name!

I've also realized that I may be addicted to reading this forum!
Anyone else???

I just had knee surgery a few days ago & find myself with more time on my hands... and yes... I've checked this forum more than once a day!

I've enjoyed reading numerous posts on this forum & I'm always learning from you. Thank you!

I feel like I "know" some of you just by reading your posts, especially; Zoe, Roberto, Laurel, Nigel, Larry, Ken, Lola, Kent, Michael, Mph, & Lee.
Happy Holidays to you all !!!

Merry Christmas! Happy Chanukah! Happy Kwanzaa! ¡Feliz Navidad!

Priscilla ;-)

And all the best to you Priscilla! We read this forum for several reasons , for me - to reconnect with the wonderful memory of our travels and the trip we took with the Rick Steves group being a huge factor. Hope for more in2015 and good luck with the knee surgery!

Hello Kent, Nigel, Zoe & Chani!

  • Kent, where will you be traveling in 2015?

  • Nigel, Happy New Year to you too! How was your most recent trip?

  • Zoe, Thanks! I decided I didn't really like the pseudonym. How are your trip plans coming along?

  • Chani, I like that! "we-are-not-addicted-club!" Next trip? I'd like to go back to Spain, however, I don't know...
my mom is 87 and loves to travel but she said that the long flights were the worse part of our last trip!

Traveling to Israel is on my bucket list...now I just need to convince my husband (doesn't like to travel)
Chani, where is your next trip?

Happy Holidays! I gotta go bake some Christmas cookies with my daughter!!!

Hi Laurel!

Buon Natale to you & yours!!!

Did you speak Italian before moving to Rome or did you learn it there?

Where is your next trip taking you?

Ciao Laurel ;-)

Priscilla,

Thanks for letting us know your real name. I always prefer the more "personal" touch of addressing someone by name.

I'd also like to wish you and your family Happy Holidays / Merry Christmas / Buon Natale (pick whichever fits), and a happy new year with another wonderful trip to Europe.

I hope your knee surgery went well, and that you recover quickly. I can well relate to your situation, as I've also been through that process (due to a serious injury).

Priscilla, you wrote the long flights were the worse part of our last trip That's the problem with coming home - the very last experience is that flight back. Keep reminding her of how wonderful it was once you got there.

Coincidentally my next trip (in 41 days, but I'm not counting) is a return to Spain after a few days in Venice for Carnevale.

Where in California are you? I may be on the West Coast before the end of 2015 - maybe I could help convince Mr. Priscilla that Israel is worth the journey.

Happy New Year.

I came on here to post the same thing, so I will jump on Priscilla's thread - thank you all! Macy was of much help to me, so thanks to you Priscilla! :)

I've had a wonderful first couple weeks in Milan, Verona, Venice, and am spending Christmas today in Florence. A big thank you to each and every one of you who helped to make this trip even more wonderful than I could have hoped.

Buon Natale from Italy!

Priscilla,
I knew some Italian before we moved, but by now I am quasi-capable. :-)

We are traveling now in the fabulous Dolomites. Next big trip is Paris for a week in March to celebrate 30 years of wedded bliss.

Just for the record, there is a person named Macy. http://www.macygray.com However, it does seem that wasn't the name she was born into. Guess Macy is better than Natalie in her mind. Fabulous voice BTW.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Priscilla.

Rest and relax till that knee is ready to help you wander.

  • Ken, I agree with your comment, I don't know what I was thinking when
I chose "Macy"... but now I feel better to go by my real name.

How long ago was your knee surgery? Hope you're good as new now!

  • Chani, where in Spain are you going? Have a wonderful trip! I live in Southern California.
My husband traveled to Israel with his father years before we met & so he has no interested in traveling now...
I may just have to plan a trip to Spain with my mom- she says she's ready whenever I am! :-)

  • Stacy, Enjoy the rest of your trip & safe travels!!!

  • Laurel, Enjoy the fabulous Dolomites! I have not been there before but must add it to my bucket list!
Congratulations on your almost 30th anniversary!!! Paris is magnificent!

  • Claudia, funny that you actually found someone named "Macy"!

The hardest part about having knee surgery is the recovery! It's really no fun limping around... Isn't it crazy how we take our health for granted until something goes wrong?

Happy New Year to you all ! ;-)

Priscilla, I hope the knee heals sooner than you expect. I hope you are getting lots of physiotherapy. That's helped me the most with my issues over the years. In the meantime, there's a lot of time to enjoy the memories of your last trip and plan for the next one . . . I have two or three that I've been thinking about now and then for years!

I'm starting my Spanish jaunt in Sevilla, a few days in Andalusia, then Toledo, Madrid and Barcelona, partly places I've been, partly new places. I never thought I'd find a country I'd love more than Italy, until I went to Spain!
