I have been looking at villas on line for quite a while. It is not always easy to gather information from the website. Does anyone know of a villa that is handicapped friendly? My wife can not do stairs and walking is difficult. There are three other couples who would join us in our Sept. 2013 adventure in Italy....but I have to find a villa that she can get around in easily. Thanks for any help you can give.

I've not had to deal with a situation specifically like yours, but I've had to look for apartments on ground floor level or with elevators. My experience is that you would do well to send off inquiries to some rental agencies with your specific requirements. They will reply with a list of properties that they think will work for you. The more detail you can give them about the "must haves", the better they will be able to advise you on which properties will be suitable. It doesn't cost anything to ask and it will also give you a good feel for how the agency works. I've used Rentvillas in the past for this kind of inquiry and I think they have properties in Tuscany. There are many others.
