Haircut and Hat in Rome

I arrive in Rome on 13 June and will leave for Ravenna on the 19th.

Sometime during those 6 days I want to get a haircut. Any suggestions for good places to go? I'm 71 and wear my hair very short. I prefer quirky and no product required.

I've learned just this week that a sun hat will also be mandatory for this trip. I'd prefer not to pack one from here, even if it is crushable. Is a market a good place to find one? If so, which market?

Lo, I always get a haircut when I get to Italy! Cities vary.

I don't remember the name, but there is a place on the street behind the Pantheon, about €50 for a short cut. You can ask your hotel desk clerk for a recommendation.

Where are you staying? Campo di Fiori has a stand with lots of hats.

If the markets don't give you what you want you could drop into a Coin department store and I'm sure they would have lots.

I'll be staying in an apartment on Vicolo D'Orfeo near the Vatican, but I'll go anywhere for a good cut, cute hat or delicious food.

While buying a hat is an adventure....it is very hot there, so pack a crushable one, and then venture out to buy one. Searlingly hot sun...like Arizona hot.
