Let me know if anyone has a guide you would recommend for Rome and Florence. There will be 4 in the party 2 adults 2 teenagers in June
A good start would be to browse the forum history for answers to similar questions. From the past two years:

In addition, there can be advantages to tours provided by some attractions themselves.
Editing to add: looking back at some of your previous posts, you've mentioned a spouse with mobility limitations so you'd been interested in guides with a car. If this is still the case, versus a guide whose tours are largely on foot, it might be helpful to confirm for other posters?
For Rome, we used www.mindtheguide.com - it was a small group with headsets and the guide was an archeology graduate.
In Florence we used www.walksinsideflorence.it, for a private tour. The guide was strong on artworks, which was what we wanted.
Both were really good.
We used Cris Roman Guides (https://www.crisromanguide.com). We had a great time with Gigi in Rome. Our time was so limited, but he was very efficient at showing us all the highlights in the time that we had. We spent very little time in lines and he was not afraid to find shortcuts through the Vatican that saved us lots of time. His knowledge of everything was very good, but he didn’t overwhelm us with details. He was just a fun person to be with!
