I’ll stick this in the updates as well, but for those of you planning a trip soon, note that A Porte Aperte is now also known as Ibla 1860. They have a Facebook site. Their email is [email protected]. The tour, now priced at €18 and running 1 hour 15 minutes, includes Circolo, the Donnafugata theatre, Palazzo Arezzo di Trifiletti,, and Cinabro Carrettieti. (However, Cinabro can be booked directly through them for €10 each at [email protected]. Trifiletti did not reply to my email requesting a tour; maybe they are being handled now by 1860.). 1860 apparently has a number of tours running. They offered me an 11 am on Saturday or a 9:30 pm on Sunday. The TI, knows as Hi!, is very helpful and has info on the tours as well as good maps and lots of info on wine, restaurants and chocolate.
