Guides in Puglia? Wineries worth a visit? Cooking classes?

We are planning a trip to the Puglia area in early April of 2022. Does anyone have suggestions for a guide that we could hire for a day or two in the area? A one day cooking class and a winery tour or two would also be great! I have a 2018 Rick Steves Italy book and it doesn’t have anything about Puglia in it.

Thanks!

Just returned from Italy in October and spent 4 nights in Puglia. This region is authentic, beautiful and delicious. It is a great region to navigate with a car and town hop. We visited Locorotondo, Alberobello, Matera and Bari, a well as my mother's home town which is a small village. This trip included Venice, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast and Rome. We did this with friends of ours and guess which area we enjoyed the most...Puglia. I would spend a couple nights in any 2 of the above and just enjoy strolling and eating/drinking your way through this beautiful region. Will be returning in the fall.

That sounds great! Thanks for sharing. Did you get to the town of Lecce? Any guidebooks you can suggest or hotels? We have heard good things about Matera.
