Guided Tour of Florence with a transport to Vernazza

Good morning! I have a short time in Florence... We arrive at 1pm on May 21st and leave to go to Vernazza for 2 days 22 - 24. I'm trying to make the most of our time at both places and am considering a private tour. My thought is we'd explore the city of Florence when arriving on the 21st then rent a guided Tour early on the 22nd to see some of the countryside and then either drop us in Pisa or all the way in Vernazza. Has anyone done something like this or suggestions to maximize the time and see that area? Thank you!

Unfornutately you have not allowed enough time in either place to fully enjoy them, unless you are planning a return trip to Italy in the future. You need three days to fully appreciate Florence...Academia, Uffizi, The Duomo (you MUSt climb to the top) and it's museum, the Baptistry and the frescos at San Marco, just to mention a few. There is so much more. As for the CT, my favorite place in Italy, it is only to relax and unwind, and of course hike the beautiful trails between the towns. If you only have a half day in Florence and can't come back, look in Rick's Italy guidebook and see if he lists private guides there. The places I listed above are what I consider a must see in Florence and to do that you need someone getting advanced reservations to the museums for you and getting you around. All that being said, I found a Trip Acvisor review that you might look into. See this link, and good luck. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187895-d2086941-Reviews-Freya_s_Florence_Private_Tours-Florence_Tuscany.html
