Guided tour in Vatican

Hello, four adults would like a private tour guide for an afternoon tour of the Vatican on December 31.

There are several companies with websites, they see expensive and commercial, and it is hard to tell which ones would be good, if any.

Can anybody here please recommend a good person or small reliable company for this?

Thanks!

The Vatican's website states that the museums are closed on Dec. 31.

It does look like you can tour the basilica for 15€ on the 31st with a guide provided by the church. It cannot be booked in advance; show up at the Visitor's Desk as instructed. I'd probably plan to be there a little before it starts at 2:00 (14:00).

Or rent an audioguide (info included in the link above) and explore on your own.

Editing to add: The basilica's website is very new and I'm not sure it's completely up to speed as far as visiting hours/closures. For instance, it doesn't appear to show Wed. morning closures for Papal audiences, unless that has changed. To be sure of being able to access the church on the 31st (or maybe even Jan 1, as it doesn't show a closure then either, although I'd question that), I'd contact them:
