Last year I went on a cruise that stopped in Naples. We were me at the docks by many taxi drivers offering their services. One such driver took my family in his cab from Naples to Sorrento, Positano, back up to Pompeii and then returned us to the ship. He gave us his card in case we knew anyone that could us his services again. Well we are going back and his email is not working. Anyone have an email of someone they have used for such an excursion and would recommend? Thanks

Dennis, for a flurry of responses, I'd suggest asking this question on (or searching) cruisecritics.com, since most people on that site have cruised or are planning cruises. Also, I have not yet personally purchased Rick Steves' new book that covers popular cruise ports, but possibly he would have info on private guides for the Naples port. If time allows, definitely get up to Ravello this time, (oh, the view :) which would include the town of Amalfi en route. Also, if you have not taken a boat along the coast, I'd suggest vehicle in one direction, boat return. Have fun.

Thank you Margaret. We are actually staying in Ravello, and it looks amazing. Haven't done the trip by boat, yet, so we will plan that on the return trip. Thanks for the suggestion.

Dennis, I will be in Amalfi next week and will be using Italy Limousine for the first time. If you can wait til I get back, I can give you my opinion then.

Dennis, as promised, I have returned from Italy with an for you! I did use Italylimousine.com for a 9 hour private tour out of Naples. We didn't stay anywhere along the Amalfi Coast, but wanted to pop into each town, look around, shop and eat. The driver was from Sorrento and knew the area well and spoke perfect English. He took us wherever we wanted to go and waited for whatever length of time we wanted. It was exactly what we were looking to do. We wanted to get a taste of Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. Our driver took us to a great restaurant clinging to the cliff overlooking Positano for a lovely lunch. I would recommend them highly and would use them again if I return.
