Guided tour for Colesseum?

The Underground tour was awesome. The majority of the tours is away from the massive crowds and our tour only had 10 people. It was very interesting and glad we took the tour.

We also did the V.I.P tour of the Coloseum, through Walks of Italy. I had been to the sites it covers before-- Coloseum, Palatine Hill, Forum-- yet, the tour added layers I didn't know were missing, as well as well-told stories from the wonderful guide. They have groups no larger than 12, so it's not crazy like those big groups. It was through, well-organized.

I wouldn't bother with an expensive private tour. You can book the underground tour with the official site by calling

The tour will include entry to the colosseum, forum and palatine hill plus a tour of the arena floor, underground area and third tier. After the tour you can stay inside the colosseum for as long as you wish and then visit the forum and palatine hill. This will cost 22 euros for anyone 18 and over. Kids will get free entry to the sites and pay 9 euros for the tour.
