Guidance for booking Scavi tour beneath St. Peter's Basilica in Rome

Rick Steves says the Scavi tour must be booked via e-mail, not via the Vatican website. Does anyone know what the correct e-mail address is to use for booking this tour? Also, is it available 7 days/week or closed certain days?
Thanks,
Matt

You go to the Vatican website to see how to get tickets:
Scavi website

You'll see email and fax instructions, as well as the answers to your other questions.

There are restrictions for the tour. They don't operate on Sundays. No one under 15 is permitted on the tour. You cannot take photos on the tour. You must check all bags before the tour. You must dress appropriately for the tour.

Just follow the link listed above to book the tour.

And do pay particular attention to the section that reads:
We kindly inform all visitors to the necropolis that environmental conditions will be different underground, with possible increase of temperature and humidity. Those who suffer specific and serious physical problems that could be effected by these conditions, including claustrophobia, should not visit.

I was amazed at how warm it was in May and they keep the humidity near 100%. I suffer from mild claustrophobia, though, and it wasn't a problem at all for me.

I went on the Scavi tour in February. It was about 70 degrees outside, may be cooler. It was very hot and very, very, humid. The friend who told me about the tour said that it was very cold when she went on the tour and advised me to take a jacket. The tour is wonderful.
