Looking to book accomodations this summer for Rome and Florence. Has anyone had any problems with booking through them and are they any apartments you would recommend in either city? Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Hi Kathy, how many people in your party? I just booked apartments in three places in Italy, Positano, Rome, and Venice. The apartment I got in Rome is "Apartment Balestrari" near Campo Fiori. It sleep up to five. It costs 160 euro per night. I rented thru www.sleepinitaly.com They and the apartment get excellent reviews. They only require a 10% deposit! I found the same apartment for more money an another rental site.

There will be two of us, my husband and myself. Have you stayed in any apartments in Europe renting from these online businesses?

Kathy, I did use a company to book an apartment several years ago on the Amalfi Coast and when I needed to cancel it, they refunded my deposit right away. I have been scouring all the rental company sites for apartments and reading the reviews. I picked rental websites and apartments with very good guest comments. I did not book an apartment that I liked with www.rentinrome.com because they had some bad reviews. I used three different companies to book 3 apartments this time: home away, sleep in rome and summer in italy. They all had good reviews and nice apartments.
