Looking for recommendations on a guesthouse or B & B (or maybe small hotel), reasonably priced, well-located in Verona. Also taking suggestions for Orvieto and Florence. 6 adults and one child. 3 doubles and one single. M-d May travel

We liked B&B Panorama. 10-15 minute walk to the Arena, about the same to the train station. Very clean, quiet. Not sure they have enough beds for you though you could take the whole place over as an apartment.

Thanks, I will check that out. It might actually be a great fit to see if they can offer with apartment rate.

Have you tried any of the websites like venere.com, booking.com and vrbo.com? For mid-May travel your options are shrinking by the minute. Good luck.

Ended up in Soave. Locanda Lo Scudo, a B&B // guesthouse. Sounds very promising. Betw Verona and Venice and right off the motorway. Thx for everyone's kind suggestions.
