Hi, I would like to stay at guest houses in Italy. Does anyone know a good book that has actual good information. I was referred to Karen Browns but I found it to be long boring stream of hotels. Boo:(. We leave Oct. 16th and would love to stay with the locals. Help.

Hi Monique, I presume from the word guest house that a B and B might work for you. In May I stayed at Al Palazzetto and loved the top floor room with private deck. They are in the Canareggio neighborhood which means you'll be staying with the locals. Good luck!
