Group traveling

There are four of us, all women, traveling to Italy in May. Any suggestions for places to stay? I'm seeing lots of places with single rooms, or double. Anywhere that you really like where 4 of us can stay together? We'll be going to Rome, Florence, Venice.

Melody, You might want to start by checking the lodgings shown in the Italy 2011 Guidebook. Trip Advisor is another good place to check. If you find a Hotel that looks suitable, check their websites for information on the type of rooms they offer. If you don't mind somewhat "basic" accommodations in Rome, you could consider using a four-bed dorm room in a Hostel (in one of the Hostels I've used, each room has an ensuite bathroom). Good luck and happy travels!

You might also ask for family rooms. We have had many family rooms that were four single beds. However, that might not be cheaper. Many European hotels price per person not by the room which is more typical in the US. You could find that two double rooms are the same as one quad.

Ken, I have those books (well, they're in the family; the four of us traveling are myself, my sisters and my daughter.) I was just looking for any specific places that anyone had stayed and liked.
