Ground Transportation from Lake Orta to Milan Malpensa Airport

Greetings travelers. Happy to say we will being taking the Villages Italy tour in October 2022 and can't wait. At the end of the tour we will be at Lake Orta (Hotel LaBussola).

We are looking for a reliable van shuttle service to carry 4 people to the Milan Malpensa airport. As our window to arrive at the airport from Orta will be tight wondering the quickest way to travel. Train may take to long.

Can you tell me the estimated travel time by car/van to Malpensa? Any cost history you might have would be appreciated.

Have not used yet but did have a transfer from MXP to Stresa booked
We postponed our trip and the cancellation/response was excellent

Our cost to Stresa was 90 euros so I would think about same to Orta

The drive from Orta to Malpensa is just shy of one hour

We were on the Village Italy tour in 2019. Our tour guide arranged van transportation for people going to the Milan airport or the train station.

My experience was the same as Bob's with the guide arranging or assisting with transport for everyone. I'll add that she started organizing exit strategies on about Day 3, collecting people's flight departure times or post-tour plans so she could group people together if indicated.

What time does your flight leave (knowing it may change a number of times between now and then!)

Hi Pam, we are preliminarily scheduled to depart Malpensa airport at 11:04 AM. Given that our departure time does not change (fat chance), we anticipate leaving the hotel around 6:00AM. This would give us adequate time for delays getting there as well as lines at the airport.

That's another great plus about the RS guides, they take care of you from start to finish!

Day 14: Tour Over After Breakfast

Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today. Milan's closest airport, Malpensa, is 45 minutes away by taxi. Your guide will help coordinate transportation to Malpensa, leaving you well prepared for the road ahead
