Hello. On a road trip through Puglia in May, I would like to see/shop ceramics in Grottaglie. Does anyone have any recommendations about how to approach this, i.e. where to start, where to shop, etc? Thank you!

Yes! Lots of shops, many along a winding street, but some you have to hunt for. Far and away our favorite (and we’ve been there twice and both times bought pottery) is the Antonio Fasano shop at Via Caravaggio, 7 or 8, 74023 Grottaglie —- be sure it’s Antonio’s shop because there are other Fasano shops in town and the address is a bit odd (is it 7 or is it 8 or both?). Very nice guy, wrapped all of our purchases up well.

There is a small ceramics museum in Grottaglie, that is definitely worth visiting.
