I am travelling from an EU country to Italy and a doubt has crossed my mind. I read that in order to enter in some public spaces such as museums visitors have to present a "green pass" that proves that they have taken at least the first dose of the covid vaccine. So I was wondering if the EU digital covid certificate is equivalent to the green pass and if one dose is still enough for non italian tourists. Is that right?
You don’t indicate which country you are traveling from, which countries you have been in previous 14 days or which country you are a citizen.
You can use this tool and probably get your answer but it’s my understanding that you must be 14 days past FULL vaccination ( 2 doses)
It seems Italy will allow one dose to be counted as vaccinated. You should, however make sure the other EU country is OK with that. I know I had to show I was fully vaxxed for Germany and Switzerland. Italy also accepts your CDC card. Thanks for the link Christine. We won’t be traveling until next spring and of course there will be a lot of changes in travel protocol between now and then. Never having traveled abroad before and with Covid affecting travel I appreciate your information so much.
