Does that include no fish? Everyone will have appetizers of vegetables in a variety of preparations and presentations.

One of the best is at the hotel il Nido. It's above the city, has a spectacular view of the bay. The bus stops right out front; taxis are really expensive in Sorrento. In town there is Gigino, which has a fun to watch pizza maker, as well as excellent food. the Foreigner's Club is a great place for an afternoon drink but the food is less than interesting. The views though are quite special. The Marina Grande area has primarily seafood restaurants and they are spectacular. Vegetables are a usually on the 'contorni' list in a menu - side dishes. They can do some very special things with them!

I ate once at Bar Syrenuse, they have live entertainment on weekends. The music was good, the food was okay, nothing to rave about. I had an excellent meal at L’Abate - they had a first-course buffet with lots of veggie selections (even after I eschewed all the ones with bits of bacon or seafood), then I had an excellent pizza. I went back on a subsequent night but they were closed so I ate at nearby La Basilica, almost as good. It's hard to find a restaurant in Italy that doesn't have good vegetable and pasta dishes. Are cheese and eggs okay?
