Great pizza near Naples train station?

Hello! Does anyone have a recommendation on a really good pizza place near the Naples train station? We're passing through en route from Florence to Pompeii and wanted to stop for a relatively quick lunch. (An hour tops, including walking to the place.) We will have our bags with us (large backpacks); not sure whether it's better to cart them with us to lunch or leave them at the train station if it's safe and relatively cheap? Anyone know anything about this?

Pizza Tritone is fabulous. Rick recommended. However it is about 7 or 8 blocks away. About a 15 minute walk (if you can find it right away). An hour most likely isn't enough time.

Pizzeria da Michele is a classic choice but I dont think an hour window would be sufficient. I've been a few times and there has always been a line. (It moves fairly quickly but I would be much more comfortable with a 2 hour window). Its about 10-15 minute walk each way. Its casual and we were able to get in with our bag but its packed so be courteous.

We could probably spend a little more time in Naples. I'm just not particularly interested in seeing the city, but thought getting some pizza there would be a neat experience. Is the pizza any different there than in say Rome or Florence?

I would actually love to walk a few blocks (7-8, etc) if it's somewhat scenic...but I've heard nothing but bad things about Naples. If there's nothing really to see, may not be worth the effort.

It is different (the pizzas and the cities)... I happen to find Naples a beautiful place but if you only venture from the train station to da Michele... you will likely not have the impression.

I'd encourage you to at least have an open mind to poking around the city if it fits in your schedule. While I would never want to live there, seeing the chaos and beauty colliding is a wonderful thing.

You can leave your stuff at the station at the staffed left-luggage counter. Allow enough time to get it back (lines, lunch break) before your next train. Or skip it altogether and have a Neapolitan-style pizza elsewhere, I won't try to convince you to spend any time there seeing the city, and going just for pizza seems like a lot of effort. Have a sfogliatella pastry at the station instead.

We had lunch at Pizzeria da Gaetano, located at Via Casanova 109 (close to the intersection with Via Cesare Rossaroll.) We walked from Napoli Centrale, and got there in about 10 minutes. Pizza was good, and not expensive, something like €10 per pizza. I found them on Trip Advisor.

Google can be your friend, simply search maps for the train station, then "search nearby" for pizza. All kinds of places will pop up, do some research, though it would be difficult to find bad pizza in Naples.
