Great cooking class in Ravello (Amalfi Coast)

We went to Mamma Agata's cooking class in Ravello. It can book up way in advance, but we happened to drop by her home in March, and turned out the class the next day wasn't full. So my husband and I both attended. It was wonderful and a highlight of our trip. It is not cheap, but you essentially get a day's worth of meals and wine. We also got great recipes and met great people (including 2 men who came from Israel just for the class). We highly recommend the class!

Yes, the view was beautiful! And it was sunny and 70 degrees in March. We stayed at Guiliana's View just up the road at Chiara's suggestion. It also had a great view and breakfast.

Hi Becky, we're planning on doing this when we go to Italy next year. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your day. Any tips you can share regarding your day or the hotel where you stayed?

Mamma Agata's is not right in town. We had a car and found parking along the road nearby. I would book soon. Her classes tend to fill up. Our B&B, Guiliana's View was nearby. Great view from the breakfast terrace and our bed! We also found parking aling the road by the B&B. I'm sure people go to the class who don't have a car. I'd check with her about the best route if you're coming from the main part of town. Ravello is beautiful, but can get crowded. They have a wonderful concert series during the summer.

Lucky you!! We tried to get in for two years and literally booked a year in advance for our visit! Totally worth it. We loved our day there. :-)

@Pilgrim- Villa San Cosma is just a few doors down from Mamma Agata's and it's amazing! We also love Punta Civita, but expect a 20 minute walk, up stairs to Mamas if you stay there.

Thank you, April. We will try to book Mamma Agata's as soon as we book our airline tickets! Thanks for the recommendation. We do want to stay in the area near the cooking class.
