We are hiking in Albania and want a few days on a beach before touring Rome and then home to Canada. Any suggestions as to where we should go that isn't far from Rome?
We are going the last week in September. We are looking at trains or flights.

Please add what month, define "not far," and add your transport preference. I like the Orbetello area, but it's not for everyone.
How close? You mentioned that you are looking at trains or flights. There are a lot of places within flying distance. Sardinia is only one hour away by plane.
