Thanks to everyone who helped me with all my questions. We just returned from 2 weeks. Saw cold weather in Venice and 40 degrees C at Tivoli (that's about 102). Yes, we saw a lot of people wearing shorts! I hope I can return the favor over the next weeks and months with all we saw and learned.
