GPS maps for Dolomites, Como Area

I'll be going to Italy in mid-September, staying mainly in Venice and Como. I'm planning on doing some hiking while there; some day hikes around Como and a longer hike in the Dolomites - possibly a Via Ferrata. I use a GPS (in conjuction with a paper map) when I hike here in the US, and I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to get Garmin map data card for the area? And if so, any recommendations where to find what I need?
While I'm at it, any suggestions on good overview maps of the Dolomites, to use as I plan my hikes would be great! Once I've identified a specific trek, I'll be looking for topos.

You could ask Garmin or Ebay, or Amazon.

I've used a Garmin around Lake Como happily. In fact, having my Garmin on a boat on the lake let me see that I'd overshot the stop I wanted to get off at and prompted me to seek out a deck hand to sort things out.

When we went to the Dolomites it was either REI or A16 that special ordered topo maps of the region for us. I'm sure you can find them on the internet as well.
