Your best bet might be to try E-Bay. You could also have a look at Amazon or some of the online retailers to see if any have "sales" on right now.

I can sympathize with your situation, as I just updated the European maps in my Nuvi 370.

I assume that you are renting a car for your trip. You can easily get a GPS device in your rental car. No need to take yours. We plan on doing that for our trip later this year to England. We have our own as well. Just don't want to lug to Europe when they are so easy to rent.

The Gamin 270 is only $139 at Amazon and is a little bigger than a cell phone.It comes with a set of maps for Europe and the US. You might want to buy a new one rather than get the maps for your unit, perhaps resell it after you get home. We just used ours for 10 days and it was a lifesaver.

You might see if a friend/neighbor has a GPS with Europe data. If so, then you can swap devices with them while you're on vacation. That worked for us last year.

Personally, I'd take my own. You might check to see what the charge would be for a GPS in your rental car. You may find buying the Europe maps to be comparable and you will have it for future trips.

We were contemplating same decision. The one with the car rental costs $45 and they ship it to your home before your trip so you can put in all your address'. The fee includes this shipping cost. The cost for the new card on ebay or on the garmen site costs $100. We went with the gps from the rental company. We didnt want to risk it not working there and thought it was worth it for convenience. Hope this helps :)
