Renting a car - someone mentioned a GPS -- don't they have them in the rental cars? GPS w/an Italy card ?? Do you get that in the States or over there? Not understanding. Also -- I have a converter to charge my computer. The adapter says "europe". However, I have also seen adapters that say norther europe; southern europe. ?? thanks for any help.
GPS is common, and is normally an extra charge of 20-25 Euros a day. If you're traveling in the countryside they do come in handy, as not all roads are marked with the road or highway number.
Adapter: in Italy they use the plug with the 2 round prongs. However, to confuse things, they recently created a 3-round-prong plug. It helps therefore to bring both. They are cheap and light-weight, and usually easy to obtain in North America.
thank you :)
