Got my Last Supper Tickets-Part I

The Last Supper Tickets just went on sale (midnight Pacific time) for September. They are extending times because of the Expo 2015 in Milan. For those wanting to go in August or September, now is the time to buy online. (a few June and July dates available also). Go to http://www.vivaticket.it/index.php?nvpg[tour]&id=744 or just http://www.vivaticket.it and find Cenacola Vinciano. I registered ahead of time to be ready, and I really suggest you do that if you are buying next month, etc. For September, you might just want to try to grab your seats and then fill in the registration.

Choose English is in the top left corner of the page.

To register, go to top right corner. I put in my driver's license for ID instead of passport number, and it was accepted just fine.

To buy: Click on the orange Buy button to the right of Cenacola Vinciano. Next page, push Buy again. (before you leave this page, notice it shows when tickets will become available. I was waiting for the June 4th date for my September tickets.)

The next page has a calendar of tickets. You want the orange squares on the calendar to find an open seat. Click to the right of the month until you reach the month you want. Click on the day if it's orange and you will get a chart to the right, with available times. Hovering over it tells you how many seats are available. Click on the time and you will get a new page with a seat selection chart.

Sometimes it gives you two zones (the ingressi on the left.) As far as I could figure out, the first one is for automatic seat selection and the one below is for manual seat selection. I just did the first one, so no idea about the other. After the zone, to the right, it tells you how many seats. To the right of that, it gives you prices. I am not a student or the other categories, so I chose the first one, which is 8 euros total for each ticket. (Since the options are in Italian, I suggest you check before your date comes up or before you select tickets. There is also a FAQ link at the bottom of the page that gives info on payment methods, etc.) Under the ticket price, select how many tickets you want.

Below this chart is a verification code you have to enter. This is where I had a little trouble. I put in the code, but it gave me an error message because my internet explorer asked me if I wanted to proceed and I didn't notice that. I had to allow the option to proceed with internet explorer (I have my computer security tighter because of pop-ups). After putting in the code, push the orange Buy.

The next page gives you the total. If it is right, push the orange Add button. (my two tickets were 6.50 euros apiece/13 euros for two + 1.50 euros per ticket for fees for a total of 16 euros (the fee was added into the price so the price I saw was 8 euros per ticket).

The next page shows what you ordered and gives you one hour to confirm. If I had waited, a better time actually came up for my day, but I was worried about missing out. I might have waited to confirm longer had I known different times were still being added. But when you are sure about your purchase, push the orange Confirm button. Make sure--tickets are non-refundable.

After confirm, it gave me the options to give my credit card information. Since I was using Visa, I have the Verified by Visa ready (I never remember my password but it lets me pick a new one every time without leaving the buying process.) It would be a good idea to check the FAQ for buying options so you know if you have the right card, etc, but you can get to the page where you have one hour first, and then open the FAQ in another window if you want to get the right day and time first.

After I added my info, it was accepted, and a page came up with ticket confirmation. Use the print button on the page to print to take to the ticket office the day you go. You need to be there at least 20 minutes ahead of time so keep that in mind!

See part 2 to buy next month!!!

Ran out of room: Here is Part 2: If you are buying October tickets or later for the Last Supper in Milan, I suggest reading my Part 1 for information first to make sense of Part 2! Then:

Register on the website on the top of the page, right side, of http://www.vivaticket.it/index.php?nvpg[tour]&id=744 now. It will make buying next month easier. (top of page left side lets you choose English).

To the right of Cenacolo Vinciano, choose the orange Buy button and click. On the next page, it will give you the starting date for the opening of ticket sales. For example: 4th June: opening sale for SEPTEMBER 2015. Important: On that same page, under Cenacolo Vinciano, it gives DATE: From 05 June to 30 September LOCATION: Cenacolo Vinciano CITY: MILANO (MI)

I wanted to make sure to get tickets, so I was ready at 3 p.m. on June 3rd Pacific time, because midnight on June 4th in Italy is 9 hours ahead of my Pacific Northwest time. I thought the tickets would be released at midnight on June 4th Italy time. They were not. I saw that their ticket office opens at 8 a.m. (check on their site to confirm this), so I checked on and off all day, and at 9 a.m. June 4th Italy time (midnight on June 3rd for me), I noticed that the date (see above) changed from 05 June to 30 August to 05 June to 1 September. I would push the ◄ Back to the event list button and then buy again, and surely and steadily, the date kept changing: to 2 September, 5 September, all the way until it finally said 30 September, which was the date I wanted. (Push buy when it reaches your date!)

As soon as it hit that, I pushed the orange Buy button to get to the calendar page, changed the calendar to September, picked the 30th, and picked the time (to the right) that I wanted. There were 16 seats then; two hours later there are now 2 seats for the time I picked. After I picked the time, I went to the next page, pushed buy and got to the page where I had one hour to confirm. I wish I had left those tickets in place and checked the times again, because they opened later times after I had already confirmed and bought my tickets, and I could have chosen those later times instead, but still been guaranteed of my original seats if needed. If I had gotten tickets for a better time, I could release the first tickets I chose during the one hour window.

Confirm your seats and your are set. And if you don't get the day you need, do keep checking the sites. All the days were gone and then they added a bunch of seats for June-October because of the EXPO. So don't give up.

It is possible to buy online and get tickets!!! Just check the day before the date they give you for the release of tickets for your month, stay up late so you can get them as soon as they are released, and since several times I got an error message, don't give up; keep trying!

And thank you to everyone who already posted about tickets so I could know what to do when it was my turn!!!

not exactly sure what's going on with this post. i've had my reservations for at least two weeks for mid September. Also, what's the reference to "seats"? there are no seats to pick, just a time.
Sounds like you're...oh i don't quite know what you're up to.

I'm totally confused by this information. We've purchased tickets to see the Last Supper online recently and I don't think we needed a "2 part process" over 2 separate transactions. Also there are no seat selections involved. You just buy your timed ticket, show up 30 minutes in advance and then walk in and stand for 15 minutes during your allotted time with the frescos.

Both at the Last Supper and at the Borghese Gallery in Rome, the booking system which is just selling reservations refers to them as seats. It is used to selling seats to concerts, etc.

Nothing wrong there...
