GoOpti in Italy

My husband and I are flying into Marco Polo Airport in Venice next year. We are meeting a group and want to arrive the day before. Our hotel is located in Padua. On the Venice airport website, GoOpti was mentioned, has anyone used it or have recommendations for a transfer?

A number of forum posters have recommended GoOpti.
I used them from Graz to Ljubljana. Reasonably priced and worked well.

I have used GoOpti - to get from Ljubljana to Marco Polo Airport. GoOpti is a Slovenian company, so they are primarily going to do connections between locations in Slovenia and elsewhere (elsewhere in Slovenia or neighboring countries). But, they do seem to offer this connection. Check their website. Prices vary based on demand and how early you book - and how flexible you are:

Note that the cheapest prices with GoOpti are with shared rides. You share a van with potentially a bunch of others, some of whom may be going to different places. When you book, they will offer you options that cost more depending on how inflexible you are. Say your flight arrives at 10am. You tell them you want to leave at 10am. They may offer you a really cheap price on a van that leaves Marco Polo between 11am and 2pm - and you have to accept any departure time in that window. So you could be waiting three hours at the airport for the van if it turns out to be 1pm. (They text you the approximate pick-up time the day before.) If you really can't or don't want to wait that long, you might be able to choose one that leaves right at 11am but probably it will cost more.

And, your van may not go directly to Padua - it may make a few tops such as at Venice Mestre train station or somewhere else that is getting on is headed before Padua.

So GoOpti can be cheap, if you are flexible.

If you prefer something more predictable, take a bus from the airport to Venice Mestre train station and just hop on a train from there to Padua.

Check the FlixBus schedules - they may have a bus running directly from the airport to Padua at a convenient time for you.

We used GoOpti from Venice airport to Optajia in Croatia then from Zagreb to Trieste. No problems and worked out great.
