When I zoom into the area I see a lot of red lines. Are those hiking trails or something else?
Total guess, but the dotted ones (the straight ones) could be chairlifts or gondolas.

I have since learned from my Silicon Valley son , that those red lines equate to tram and ski lifts. Mystery solved.
