Going to Rome in October. Need recommendations for hotels that are near tourist sites and a good value (clean, not fancy, reasonably priced). Bonus if they have a full breakfast. Thanks!
You'll probably get more useful suggestions if you define "reasonable" in terms of euros per night and tell us how many people will be in the room.
With your trip so near, it will be cumbersome to contact individual properties that might be recommended here. In your shoes, I would use www.booking.com to narrow the choices focusing on the area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon (my personal preference) or Termini train station where there are some bargains to be had. Once you find something appealing, you can reserve on that site or contact the hotel directly as desired. This approach will save some time versus contacting several hotels only to find they have no rooms.
They have Oct dates available. Hits all your 'wished for' attributes in my book
