Good hotel advice in the Cinque Terre

We stayed in Vernazza on our trip to Italy 9 years ago. Going back in a few weeks and would like to stay in a different town. Looking for a really nice place to stay. Any ideas?

We are just back from Italy (May 24th, 2007)We stayed at the first little town, and loved it. We rented an apartment from Edi's rooms it was right on the water.Apt. #20. It has several steps to climb up to the apt. but so worth it. Edi's is one of Ricks suggestions for places to stay.Have fun and enjoy the wonderful sights.

We stayed in Monterosso at the Villa Steno. The place was not fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable. Some of the rooms have balconies with the most wonderful views. The owners are the nicest people and had the best recommendations.

Jessica -

I heartily recommend the Hotel Villa Steno too. We enjoyed it very much. Have fun!

Ditto to Villa Steno - the homemade lemon preserves at breakfast are to die for, along with the balcony views. If they're booked, try the Hotel Pasquale (on water), run by same family.

I would make reservations ASAP! We daytripped in to the C.T. in June 2002 and returned for 3 nights in July 2006 and spent 3 nights in Vernazza. I was making reservations in early May and many places were already full. Good Luck!
