Hi, Any suggestions for good/safe/clean beaches for swimming? We are staying in Umbria, can go to either coast. Thanks!

I asked a similar question months ago when planning my May trip and did not get responses here. I was looking at beaches on the Tuscan coast and probably would have chosen Castiglione Della Pescaia (Sp?). Turns out we did not go to the coast so I have no experience but 2 things to try are google maps of the coast which will list the hotels when you zoom in then you can check out their web site. I also got good advice on Frommers.com. Good luck with your trip.
