Hi all, My husband and I will be spending two weeks in Italy in May, and I'd love to find a way for him to golf for a few days of the trip. Can anyone recommend a golf resort or good golf courses in Tuscany or the Amalfi Coast? (We'll also be in Rome and Venice, but I assume the other two areas are more apt to have golf courses.) Thank you!
Hi Doug, Thanks so much for your suggestion. That course looks quite lovely! Do you happen to know of any others in the areas we're traveling? Our first stop is in Venice ... then moving south. Thank you again either way. I am going to send this link to my husband.
Actually, Venice has a golf course on the far end of the Lido. http://www.circologolfvenezia.com/homeeng.php
No direct experience but here's a promising link to a map of courses in Tuscany: http://www.golfing-tuscany.it/en/mappa.aspx The content doesn't appear to be very good, but you could search by the names of courses near where you'll be to see if they have their own websites. Hard to tell if the courses are public, but their own websites or local information resources should help you. Local tourist board websites can often help. I would google "Montecatino turismo", for example if I were going to base in Montecatini (just tried it, and up popped a link to a golf course!). Many sites have a little British flag to go the the content in English. Good luck!
Thanks so much for the tips!
