We will miss the bus going from Brindisi Airport (BDS) to Lecce around 8pm on a Friday next month, and do not want to wait 3 hours for the next bus. Any ideas for alternative ways? ... and if we take a taxi, any idea what that might cost? Thanks in advance, Peter
"Lecce can be reached from Brindisi Airport also by Taxi: the average cost of the journey is 50-70 € and it takes about 30-35 min." (info from 2006...you provide the inflation factor) http://www.cide.info/pdf/lecce_info.pdf Taxi
"Taxis are outside the Arrivals Hall (tel: +39(0)831 597901), pay attention that the driver starts the meter or agrees to a clear agreement about the price before you get in." http://www.airport-desk.com/airports/europe/italy/brindisi-airport.html Limo:$90 EU/ one way http://www.airports-shuttle.com/brindisi-transfers/taxi-from-lecce-to-brindisi-airport.html We dropped off our rental car at the Brindisi airport, so a rental car is also a good option. (except there is no way that you can go into and out of Lecce without a GPS; danged ring roads....) Check prices and hours of availablilityon AutoEurope.com My bet would be on a pre-arranged Limo or rental car. There is no way that I would want to stay in Brindisi at night.
