Going Back!!!!

Hi All,
We went to Italy for the first time last month and now are planning another trip for next August. We want to stay in Tuscany again but someplace different. If anyone has any suggestions, we want to stay want to stay in a farmhouse again but someplace other than Castellina where we were last time. Anyone know of any places in either the Greve or Siena areas?

Joe, I'd suggest having a look at the "Italy 2011" or "Florence & Tuscany 2011" Guidebooks (both of which are available now). They have listings of Agriturismo's so you should be able to find something that fits your preferences.

Joe,
My husband and I are planning a trip to Tuscany and Umbria in March 2011, and I have also been researching agriturismos in these areas. One that I came across is Casa Mezzuola (www.mezzuola.com) in Greve. It gets great reviews on TripAdvisor, so you may want to check it out. You may also want to check out these websites for agriturismos in Tuscany: www.tuscanyrentdirect.com, www.agriturismoitaly.it, and www.discovertuscany.com.
Good Luck!

Hi Joe. We stayed at Agriturismo Marciano in Siena and loved it. You can read the reviews on TripAdvisor. It was a great experience and truly a highlight of our trip last year. The rate was very reasonable and the optional dinners were incredible. We wish we had stayed there longer. It was 10 minutes from the city walls (yet it felt very remote) & with a rental car, it made a nice base for Tuscany; we took day trips to nearby towns. Have a great trip.

I agree with Sheron. We stayed at Agriturismo Marciano last month and my only regret was that we were not there longer. We stayed 4 nights, then went to Florence for 2 nights. In retrospect, I wish we had stayed all 6 nights at the agriturismo. We had good food the entire time we were in Italy, but the food at the agriturismo was the best we had. Staying there was definitely the highlight of our trip!!
