Does anyone has any suggestions for a place to have a glass of wine with a nice view in Positano? We will be coming off a cruise ship in Amalfi and planning on taking the ferry to Positano for a day trip. Do they have a shuttle that takes you up the hill or do you just walk up?

We stayed in Positano and thoroughly enjoyed wandering up and down those narrow pedestrian ways. We dined on the patio of La Cambusa which overlooks the harbor, and I'm sure you can pause there for a nice glass of wine. Hope you do have time to stroll around a bit, even just along the beach and harbor, because Positano was one of our most memorable places in Italy during our three-week trip.

there is no shuttle from harbor. There is a great restaurant on the hill above town with view of everything, you dine outside on the sidewalk, great food. Don't remember the name but you walk up to center of town where the local bus is and turn right up the main road and it is halfway up the hill. Enjoy.

Darla, For travel from Amalfi to Positano, you'll likely be using a large passenger boat rather than a "Ferry". It will back into the dock and a ramp will be lowered. From the dock, you'll walk uphill to the shops, restaurants, etc. If you have a "generous budget", I can't think of a better place to enjoy a glass of Wine or a fine meal than This Hotel! When you reach the main street, turn right and walk uphill a short distance. Happy travels!
