Planning our second trip to Rome and wondering why Glancolense Park is not mentioned, not in my tour book or does it pop up on a search. My tourist map says wonderful view of the City from Garibaldi Monument Anyone visited? Worth the effort?

Ellen are you talking about Gianicolo Park, possibly? Your map's letters might be too small to read easily, but there is a good view from that park, at the top of Trastevere, basically. You can take a bus up there (and I've walked it, so I would recommend bus instead) and also visit the beautiful Il Tempietto (tiny dome) in Chiesa di San Pietro, but you will have to call/look on web for open hours for Il Tempietto.
