Three adults will be arriving at Rome FCO a day before a cruise ship leaves from Civitavecchia. The cruise line doesn’t provide transportation unless you arrive ON the departure day.
One person requires a walker so a van or taxi will be needed for 3 adults, 6 bags and a walker to take us to a hotel in Civitavecchia. Please suggest our options.
Go to the official taxi rank in front of terminal
They will put you in a van-may have to wait a few minutes if they need to call for one
It’s a fixed rate-but i am not sure how much-maybe 130 euros?
You can google it
Do not go with anyone offering a taxi outside of the official line
Check with Stephanos RomeCabs I have used them a number of times to get from cruise port to FCO and also for pick up at FCO into Rome. Their website quotes €220 for 3 plus luggage and carry-on. They will meet your flight at the arrival gate.
I have not used WelcomePick-Ups in Rome but have done so in Greece and liked their service there. Similar cost to RomeCabs.
What I like with both of them is that you pay when you make your reservation so no hassles with payment when you arrive jet-lagged!
