Getting to Positano from Sorrento This Sunday

We are in Sorrento right now and want to visit Positano. We would prefer not to get on a bus on a windy road due to motion sickness issues. The boat tours I have looked into stop at a lot of places with only an hour or two in Positano. How can we do a round trip visit to Positano from Sorrento? We would like to go this Sunday. Grazie Mille.

There are still a few boats running at this time of year, although it does start to get more limited in the off season with rough waters. Visit the following link for schedules: http://www.positano.com/en/ferry-schedule

According to this link there is a 10:30am boat which would have into Positano by 11:10am and a 4:55pm boat going back to Sorrento which would have you there by 5:35pm. You'd have about 6 hours to spend in Positano which may be just right or too much.

I hope this helps some.

Take a cab. About 100 euro each way.

The ferry should be a good option and allow you to stay longer than 2 hours. Just be sure to check the return schedule before you leave since the weather might effect the schedule. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and the last ferry returning from Positano was early than on the schedule because of a weather system expected later in the day. You are making a good choice not to take the bus if you have motion sickness problems. We actually took the ferry to positano and the bus back to Sorrento. I thought I was going to have to get off the bus before we made it back to Sorrento!
