I am currently trying to figure out how to get from Naples to Positano, preferably by ferry. It appears that Metro del Mare no longer exists (please let me know if I am wrong)-are there any other ferries that go to Positano from Naples? Thank you so much for any assistance!
Hi Jeff -
Unfortunately, there are no direct ferries from Naples to Positano, and none of the ferries run to Positano during the winter/early spring. There are multiple lines which run between the coastal towns on the Sorrentine and Amalfi coasts but I believe you'd have to take a jetboat from Naples to Sorrento and change boats there (spring - fall) to Positano.
For instance, this line has two runs a day between Sorrento-Positano (May - Sept)

NLG/Gescab is currently running between Naples and Sorrento but doesn't have service between Sorrento - Positano.

Alilauro also has service between Naples and Sorrento:
I believe Alicost runs between Sorrento and Positano during high season but their 2015 schedule isn't posted yet.

The other option would be Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento, and SITA bus or private driver from Sorrento to Positano. Here's the bus schedule:
If you can't connect by ferry, this might be a better option than the circumveuvian.

a Bus/Train to Salerno and a ferry would work too....
Another good idea. Yes, you could take the train to Salerno and ferry from there - as long as the ferries are running.
This one has service between Salerno-Positano from April 1 - October 31:

Some of the others will have service too but their schedules aren't up for the season yet.
