I will be driving in Calabria for 5-6 days (I have been there before), then I need to get to Palermo for a two-week tour.
Does it make any sense to drive to Palermo from Reggio?
I would be returning the car to a different place in that case ...
Suggestions?
I get the willies just thinking about driving into Palermo. It was uncomfortable enough being a pedestrian there. I don't know whether driving would save enough time to be worth the possible hassle of returning the car in/near a big city. However, having you own wheels would be convenient for getting to Monreale. If you could manage to do that before dropping the car, it would save some time over taking a public bus out there.
