I've gotten information previously about this leg of my trip, but this is a very specific question for anyone who might have the answer. I am taking the train from venice to florence on Sunday morning. I wanted to take the bus to Siena, and then taxi to Monterrigioni. The bus schedule on sunday leaves some real downtime, getting us to Siena in the afternoon. Then we still have to get a taxi to Monterrigioni. (We are spending the night there). I accidentally found airportcitytransfer.com and found I can take a private trip via driver/taxi from florence to monterrigioni for 102 euros (two people) and would take 75 minutes. This gets us to monterrigioni around noon. Is this a good trip idea??? thanks.

I think your private driver/taxi option is a great trip idea. It will definitely save you time and you would have to take a taxi from Siena to Monterrigioni anyway. I haven't personally used a private driver, however, I have read several entries on this forum where people have used private drivers to take them into Tuscany for wine tours and trips to hilltowns. I think this is a good idea.
