We are going to Lake Como in Sept. and staying in Bellano. We will be going on the train from Mestre, near Venice,(hopefully). We are considering renting a car in Lecco, possibly. What is the easiest (with luggage, etc.) way to get there? Should we drive to Malpenza airport, or take the train? That is the best connection for getting home. Trains are confusing and we don't want to have to change trains a lot because of physical difficulties. We don't like to stay in the usual tourist spots. We have our hotels, but not transportation.
