easiest way is a taxi
Bus 64 from Termini along Vittorio Emanuele II to the stop just past Piazza di Sant Andrea della Valle (9 stops along the line,) then walk south 2 blocks along Via del Paradiso and Via del Biscone.
The #64 bus stops closest to Campo dei Fiori, but any bus showing a stop at Largo Argentina will get you within a short walk. You'll see signs at bus stops showing bus numbers and the stops they will make. You can catch #64 and other buses either at the train station or along Via Nazionale (which might be closer to your hotel).
It's walkable, about 30 minutes. Plus it's downhill.
If I was just coming into town I would take a taxi. Getting on/off the crowded #64 with luggage could be very stressful. Either that bus or #40 express will get you there, but both are usually very full. If you're just hauling backpacks you'd be okay...
It will cost you more to take a taxi (12-15E), but after traveling I do not recommend fighting the bus, or walking - especially if you're not familiar with the city. Save your exploring until AFTER you have less to carry... just my two cents!
Ciao,

Actually just getting OFF the bus with everything you took ON bus #64 might be quite a difficult thing to do seeing as how that particular bus is labeled as pick-pocket central!
Its very walkable with adventure around every corner.
We just did that trip not more than a week ago. You don't say how many you are and how much luggage you have but first of all that's a long walk and that comes from a family that walks everywhere. We are four people with five pieces of luggage plus backpacks who were in Europe for 2 weeks and who took exactly 2 taxis the whole time we were there but that was one of those times. It costs less than 11 Euros to get to our apt. right near the Campo and was well worth it. By the way, eating dinner on the Campo was one of the funnest things we did the whole 2 weeks and we did a lot of fun things. The place is electric.
Where are you staying in Campo dei Fiori?, I'm also looking for a place to stay in that area ,and I need suggestions.
thanks
I'm not the one who started the thread, but we will be staying near Campo dei Fiori later this month. Check out Hotel Smeraldo.
To answer Fernando's question: we stayed in an apt on Giubbonari which empties right into the Campo. The website is www.residenzagiubbonari.com.
