My wife and I will be on the RS Best of Sicily tour later this year and are planning a day trip from Palermo to Cefalu with a side trip to Caccamo. We plan to use the train service offered by TI to get from Palermo to Termini Imerese and Termini Imerese to Cefalu but are having a hard time determining how we get from Termini Imerese to Caccamo and back from Caccamo to Termini Imerese. One site has indicated that taxis are available at the station in Termini Imerese but we not not found any clear info that taxis do the reverse trip. Has anyone had experience in getting back and forth from Caccamo without a car.

We only went to Caccamo castle en route to Cefalù and it was worth visiting. We had a car. While it’s only 10km/6mi between Termini Imerese and Caccamo, it’s about a 17 minutes drive. I don’t see any bus service but there supposedly is taxi service for about 19€. Wherever you visit while there somebody should be able to call a cab for you.
