I found there is a Flixbus direct to Bolzano. But it looks like that stop is not centrally located. How hard is it to get around Bolzano? Is public transportation decent? Would it make more sense to arrive by train? Any thoughts appreciated.
Where is the stop? There are city buses but you can call a taxi too.
The Bolzano taxi company website is below.

THe stop is marked "Bolzano Sud - Fiera.
There is a train station there at the fairgrounds, called also Bolzano Sud Fiera. You can take a regional train from there to Bolzano (central station). It’s just 10 min. Alternatively you can also the city bus no. 10A.

I would stick with that bus so you don't have to go into downtown Milan to catch the train at that big busy Milano Centrale train station. Bolzano is small main transportation hub for South Tirol and the Dolomites. The area has good public transportation.
Thanks for the train information.
