getting from Salerno to Amalfi

Does anyone know know where to catch the 5120 Sitabus to Amalfi? We will be arriving by train to the Salerno main transtation on April 27, 2023. Thank you!

Right outside the train station--its not too huge or chaotic, as I recall it was right in the parking lot.

I would take the ferry
About 10 min walk to the port from the station, very easy
Much more pleasant than bus and the views are fantastic

Yes if you have a choice, take the boat. But they are both very close to the train station.

I have taken ferry from Positano to Amalfi to Salerno several times. I believe there is a train that goes part way to Amalfi from Salerno. Perhaps a bus for the last part. I have taken a bus from Sorrento to Positano which was wild and gut wrenching.

I loved riding the SITA bus from Salerno station to Amalfi. Cheap, wild, and woolly. But--at least in 2017--that's as far as that run goes. You'd have to switch buses to get to Positano, and then over across the peninsula to get to Sorrento.

You should be OK in late April with maybe not too many riders, although the 'high season' is longer each year. So prepare for some crowds, I guess.

Agree with Christine. Take the ferry. It is a lovely ride, very picturesque, and makes for some great photos. The dock is an easy walk from the train station. The bus can take much longer due to traffic.
